Of course, with the store's website not having any star ratings and the items not being name-brand, it can be a little tricky knowing what you're going to love or find that it's just middling. Luckily, Aldi shoppers like to go to social media and even write blogs about their favorite Aldi finds, and many of those are Mexican foods.

The bad news is that not all the best Aldi Mexican foods are available year-round. However, enough of them are that you could probably find several at your local Aldi next time you drop in. They're all over the store, too, hiding out with the sauces, refrigerated meats, deli items, and frozen foods. Whether you're looking for slow meals, fast meals, or just some good dips and condiments, we've got you covered with these eleven great Aldi Mexican foods.

jamie.schartman / Facebook Not all the Casa Mamita frozen Mexican items have great reviews, but one that seems to stand out for Aldi shoppers is the Casa Mamita chimichangas. At less than $2 each, they're a good gamble if you want to give them a try next time you see them in the store. We've seen people on social media specifically talk about liking the beef and cheese and the chicken ones, but the former seem to get the most love.

Those on social media who say they've tried other Casa Mamita frozen items like the burritos find that they like these a lot more, even though they're not always available. Our own writer suggested buying these while avoiding the burritos. Customers even say they like the filling in these better than one of the leading non-Aldi brands of frozen chimichangas, José Olé.

Chimichangas are basically crispy, deep-fried burritos. These are plenty crispy, especially when baked in a toaster oven or air fryer. Those who don't like them super crispy like to microwave them or air fry them at a lower temperature than the package says. Traditional chimichangas are served with toppings like salsa, sour cream, and maybe even some guacamole, which is how many Aldi customers like to serve theirs. Some people go as far as to add shredded cheese and lettuce and even plate them with rice and beans.

carenopre / Facebook If you're in the refrigerated meat section at Aldi, keep your eyes open for Carnitas Seasoned Boneless Pork Shoulder Roast. Don't be fooled by its inexpensive price tag, as this pre-marinated meat is a real treasure and one that shoppers buy again and again to cook fresh at home. The package has both oven and slow cooker instructions, and customers have also made it successfully in their Instant Pot.

Carnitas take hours to braise or simmer at a low and slow temperature. It requires planning ahead since it takes 2.5 to 4 hours to make with most cooking methods. We've seen people use this for shortcut meal prepping, cooking up the whole packet but then dividing it into smaller portions to freeze for later use. Once it's done, the meat is soft, tender, and easy to shred. Then, you can use it for tacos, burritos, or other Mexican dishes that include a meat component. We've also seen customers on social media talking about using it in salads and as a baked potato topping.

Customers say it's good enough on its own to not need any extra seasoning. However, sometimes, they add extra ingredients to personalize it and keep it moist, including onions, canned pineapple, salsa, or chicken stock. Customers also like that it's not too fatty and doesn't contain many extraneous bits they don't want to eat.
